Stone Bond Technologies is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of any personal as well as research related information stored in EE-LIMS. We constantly review security policies and adapt technologies as necessary to deal with new challenges.
Single Sign-On, Multiple Core Labs–EE-LIMS™ provides support for multiple Core Labs using a single login credential. This allows the software to be installed on a single server and support multiple Core Labs, which is ideal for organizations that want to support unique implementation for each Core Lab.

Security Roles and Protected Content – Within EE-LIMS, Administrators can define and assign roles for different user groups, such as Core Technicians, Principal Investigators, Lab Managers, Lab Members etc. These roles can then be used to control access (CRUD operations such are Create, Read, Update and Delete) to each data point in the workflows. Individual users may belong to more than one group.
Roles for Staff within Core Laboratory:
Administrator (AD) - Administrators have unlimited capability within the system. They have the ability to view statistical information on one, several, or all of the requests. Administrators can create work requests on behalf of a Principal Investigator. They have the ability to control the prices of services performed as well as accept requests at any stage and generate billing for completed work. They have the ability to add or delete users (Admin, Core Tech, PI) as well as create modify account numbers used within the system. Administrators have to ability to view the status of the analysis for sample requests.
Core Technician (CT) – The Core Technician has the same permissions as the Administrator, but no access to any of the billing functions of the software. A Core Technician usually works on requests submitted by the Principal Investigator (PI), Lab Manager (MG), or Lab Member (LM), and is supervised by the administrator.
Roles for Customers of the Core Laboratory:
Principal Investigator (PI) - The person responsible for directing the study or project. He or she typically has experience doing similar types of research and is accountable to the funding institute for proper conduct of the study. The Principal Investigator has the ability to add Lab Managers or Lab Members under his or her group. The Principal Investigator has no access to any of the billing, administrative, or security functionality of the EE-LIMS software. The Principal Investigator has the ability to add information about his or her own billing account, request services from the core lab, check the status of requests that he or she submitted that are being processed by the core lab, and retrieve records of past requests regarding his or own work (not of any other customer of the core lab).
Lab Manager (MG) and Lab Member (LM) – The specific permissions given to these two roles, which are linked to a Principal Investigator, are defined by the institution implementing EE-LIMS. Typically the Lab Manger or Lab Member only have the ability to request new services for a specific Principal Investigator, check on the status of requests in process for the Principal Investigator they work for, and to retrieve past records of services rendered to the Principal Investigator they work for. These roles cannot interact with any of the administrative, billing, or security functions of the EE-LIMS software, nor change any billing information for the Principal Investigator they work for.
Controlled Access to Equipment - With deep integration into Siemens' access control systems, EE-LIMS™ provides controlled access to Equipment to the users.

Bulk Email & News letters – Administrators can compose and send bulk email and news letter messages to specific users or roles.
