 EE-LIMS Framework

 Regulatory Compliance

EE-LIMS facilitates regulatory compliance to the following standards

  1. 21 CFR Part 11

Section 11 of the 21 CFR sets forth the criteria under which the FDA considers electronic records and signatures equivalent to paper records and handwritten signatures. Our workflows and quality management business rules have us a step ahead of the pack when it comes to helping you realize compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.

Our team has developed a 7 step approach to reaching CFR 21 Part 11 Compliance” methodology that will get you to compliance:

1.      Validation – Algorithms and business rules to validate/invalidate records based on  accuracy, reliability and consistency.

2.      Electronic Record Management – Standard feature to generate printed documentation of all records of all data in they system ready for auditing by an auditing power at any time.

3.      Security and Qualification – Protection of the entire system to ensure that access is granted only to authorized and qualified individuals.

4.      Record Retention – Retention of electronic records for a specified retention period of time as regulated by authorities.

5.      Audit Trail – Un-editable time-stamped audit trails that record user activity.

6.      System Documentation – Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) easily available to all system users at any point in a workflow.

7.      EE-Signature – Authentication component that requires a multi-layer user identification component that includes unique user credentials with mandatory periodic resets, as well as use of a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at various stages of a workflow.

  1. HIPPAA
    • Physical security : Information in EE-LIMS can be encrypted so that even if the hardware is stolen, it is not possible to access the data.
    • User Security : user credentials are one-way encrypted and with proper password policies, it is extremely difficult to log on to the system by unauthorized personal and access the data.
    • System Security : With proper server raid configuration and regular backups, it is possible to completely eliminate the risk of hardware crash.
    • Network Security : As explained earlier (paragraph (b)), it is not possible for an external unauthorized personal to access the data within EE-LIMS system.

 Customer Quotes
  • Microarray Core Facility

"Our goal was to automate the lab with no disruptions to our business activities. We started to realize the value of our investment immediately. It streamlined and improved our processes, elevating the accuracy level of data flow, and simplifying grant applications with the immediate availability of data. We actually have less people working at the lab now, and the new system lets us do more with less people."

Lisa White, Ph.D., Director of Microarray Core Facility, Baylor College of Medicine

  • Baylor College of Medicine

"We needed for our Core Lab services to be more readily available to all of our researchers and to make the status and information easily accessible to anyone with proper security. With all of our statistics available electronically, our research monitoring, evaluations, and analyses could then be more comprehensive, accurate and timely."

Martin P. Weick, Administrator of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Baylor College of Medicine

  • DermSurgery

"As data moves through different systems, we are now certain that it will maintain its original integrity. This gives researchers the confidence to use multiple points of reference when doing scientific research."

Leonard H. Goldberg, M.D., F.R.C.P., world-renowned dermatologic surgeon at DermSurgery Associates

  • MD Anderson Cancer Center Microarray Core Facility

"Our goal is to improve the timeliness and accuracy of both technical and administrative data in the lab. Achieving these goals is a challenge because any solution to this problem must integrate many different scientific and administrative computer applications and must do so at an affordable cost."

Dr. Mini Kapoor, Assistant Professor and Microarray Core Facility Manager, MD Anderson Cancer Center

  • Tissue Culture Core Lab

"We needed our Tissue Culture Core Lab services to be more efficient as they handle the requests for cells and related materials. Stone Bond’s EE-LIMS gives us a more reliable process and has resulted in almost 100 percent collection on requests between labs."

Martin P. Weick, Administrator of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Baylor College of Medicine

  • DermSurgery

"Stone Bond has made our life much easier so we can give more attention to our patients."
