EE-LIMS automates paper-based workflow, improving availability of services and increasing lab productivity.
"We needed for our Core Lab services to be more readily available to all of our researchers and to make the status and information easily accessible to anyone with proper security. With all of our statistics available electronically, our research monitoring, evaluations, and analyses could then be more comprehensive, accurate and timely."

Challenge: Baylor college of Medicine’s Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology was operating on a paper-based system within their Core Laboratory. This inefficient system needed to be upgraded to a web-based system without interrupting Laboratory operations.
Stone Bond’s Solution: EE-LIMS with the added capability of manipulating requests and data via Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) for faster, more accurate data exchange.
Benefits: EE-LIMS replaced Baylor's paper-based system with a complete infrastructure for a core laboratory operation. Everything from research request submittals; to entering, managing and analyzing data; to billing is completed via the integrated system. Service response data and comments are entered by researchers onto PDAs as the test procedures are executed, so all data is captured and harvested for statistical analysis, audit trails, and seamless billing integration into Baylor's SAP system. Automating the billing systems has made the entire process quicker and more efficient. Invoices are closed at a much faster rate because researches are billed and invoices are paid automatically. The Lab is more productive and invoices are up to date.
